Job Overview
The Groundskeeper will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment.
Roles & Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas such as sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, or other grounds features
Make minor repairs to items such as fences, gates, or walls
Gather, remove, and dispose of trash or waste materials
Water and irrigate lawns, trees, or plants using portable sprinkler systems
Use irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent waste
Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using grounds maintenance equipment
Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edger
Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools
Rake, mulch, and compost leaves
Operate and perform minor repairs on grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws
Comply with safety rules, policies and procedures including use of personal protective equipment.Stops at risk behaviors of others and self
Respond to trouble calls and cleans up spills
Communicate with co-workers, management, and customers and advises on plant selection or care
Provide information about landscaping services or costs
Qualification

Education and/ or Experience
High school diploma / GED – preferred
Six months related experience and/or training – preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Completed all safety and task training certifications.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Compensation: $15.00-$15.50 per hour
Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
