Job Description/Responsibilities

Bio: The Commercial Finance Manager plays a critical role in driving profitable growth by partnering closely with North America Sales teams. This role blends rigorous financial analysis with clear storytelling to translate complex data into actionable insights. The Commercial Finance Manager acts as a trusted advisor to senior sales stakeholders, ensuring financial discipline while enabling the business to achieve volume, revenue, and profit objectives.

 

  • Lead the annual budgeting and periodic Risk & Opportunity review process with Sales stakeholders to ensure resources are both deployed and utilized responsibly. Business Partner with stakeholders to ensure accountability against financial targets. Monitor Price, Volume, Mix performance vs. Annual Operating Plan and Prior Year. Investigate variances and proactively recommend corrective actions.
  • Support Sales planning and scenario modeling activities to ensure goals and accountability are achieved across all Brands and Markets. Support the development of Finance and Sales presentations and business reviews, focused on actions to improve revenue and profitability.
  • Deliver insightful analysis on volume, revenue, margin, competitive/ category performance, and cost drivers. Translate complex financial data into clear, compelling narratives that inform strategic and operational decisions. Recommend actions to close performance gaps. Sell recommendations, evaluate outcomes, and communicate results throughout the organization. Develop dashboards, presentations, and business cases for senior leadership. Look for opportunities to improve existing tools and processes through self-development while also seeking to incorporate best practices and new perspectives on analytical decision making.
  • Identify opportunities to improve revenue, profitability, and implement company sales and marketing strategies. Communicate company directives on price actions in alignment with strategy. Recommend actions to close performance gaps. Sell recommendations, evaluate outcomes, and communicate results throughout the organization. Develop dashboards, presentations, and business cases for senior leadership.
  • Create, develop and maintain processes for reviewing and analyzing data based on price structure set up or changes.
  • Support Sales and Marketing planning activities to ensure goals and accountability are achieved across all Brands and Markets. Support continuous improvement of financial processes, tools, reporting. Maintain high standards of data integrity and financial accuracy.
  • Utilize PDS system to identify opportunities for self improvement. Use PDS as a tool to drive improved performance. Measure progress and track results and achievements.
  • Twice a year review your training and development activities and opportunities. Ensure that your career growth is on track and in line with your goals and the company's needs.

Qualifications/Requirements

MUST

  • Demonstrate the ability to work as a team as well as self-directed
  • Detail Oriented
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems/processes
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years experience in a fast paced environment
  • 8 years relevant experience (minimum)
  • Strong analytical and technical skills (excel, power bi)

PREFERRED

  • Master's degree in related field
  • 4 years experience in a brand marketing, finance, or sales team at a CPG company, preferably with Revenue Management or pricing responsibilities.
