About this role

Copenhagen, Denmark

Do you know every last detail of the products, services, transactions and platforms Saxo is offering, or are you keen to proactively dive into that universe? Do you have a solid understanding when it comes to banking, including payments, trading, and securities settlement? Do you want to use your knowledge and expertise, assess risks in relation to financial crime, and turn them into insights?

About the job

The Financial Crime Prevention – Group-Wide Risk Assessment & Policies (FCP GWRA & Policies) team is responsible for conducting the annual Group-Wide Risk Assessment (GWRA) on risks related to Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing.

FCP GWRA & Policies is looking to extend its team with a Financial Crime Product Specialist, who takes the lead in establishing a comprehensive risk assessment framework, including setting up processes and a methodology to identify and describe all products, services, transactions and platforms within Saxo, as well as assessing their associated financial crime-related risks. This involves mapping as well as understanding and describing Saxo Bank’s technical infrastructure, including e.g. how clients access account functionalities through our platform, and the interplay with various types of transactions such as payments, asset transfers and trading.

Within the team, you will work with colleagues experienced in conducting the Group-Wide Risk Assessment and turning it into policies and internal requirements to combat and prevent financial crime. You will collaborate closely with the team as well as other subject-matter experts in different specialist functions (e.g., product owners, payment and settlement experts), collecting and analysing their inputs, and turning them – together with your own expertise and research – into insights.

To succeed in the role, you need to be self-driven, structured and analytical, and enjoy taking ownership to develop solutions within a set of requirements and timeframe.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive risk assessment framework, including by setting up processes and a methodology to identify and describe all products, services, transactions and platforms within Saxo Bank
  • Gather relevant information by proactively collaborating within internal research, as well as by your own research and expertise
  • Identify and assess inherent and residual financial crime risks
  • Author risks assessments, recommendations, reports, as well as governance documents (such as methodology documents or procedures) in a concise and easy-to-understand manner
  • Lead and participate in projects
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and guide on industry financial crime risk trends related to products and service

Your Profile

You thrive in an environment with constant changes and with a level of ambiguity but have an eye for the details. You can act as a trusted advisor to your stakeholders, enjoy being part of cross-functional projects where you strive to find a solution that is commercially viable without jeopardising regulatory requirements, and can apply professional judgment to handle competing priorities. In depth knowledge of Saxo Bank’s platforms as well as its products, services and transactions are an advantage.

You are the ideal candidate for the job, if

  • You have technical knowledge and experience with the functioning of the Saxo Bank infrastructure, including e.g. how account types, features, trading of financial instruments, assets transfers or payments work
  • You have a strong sense of ownership and strive after continuous improvement to find the best solutions
  • You are analytical and can handle multiple projects and tasks at a time. You have a proactive approach, are driven by delivering the right level of quality, and enjoy finding solutions to address challenges
  • You find it easy to build relationships and communicate effectively on all levels and across borders in a global and dynamic environment
  • You are a team player, but with the capacity to work independently
  • You master English on a professional level. While Danish, as well as other languages are not a requirement, but will be considered as merit as they can help you to understand local laws and requirements and can be a bridge to other cultures
