PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

Lead the PR testing and evaluation process with internal and external teams as well as being responsible for all marketing firearms for various activities. This includes writers and marketing samples, all show firearms and new product marketing samples. This role will work closely with industry editors, marketing team members and engineering.

Facilitate and manage the sales and shipments for the international business segment of Savage Arms U.S.A.  Maintain a clear understanding of the corporate risk and liability associated with all international business transactions and the related USG regulations:   ITAR (International Traffic & Arms Regulations) and BIS (Bureau of Industry & Security).  Screen and process all purchase orders and parties to the transactions, request export authorizations within Savage and maintain U. S. Department of State and U. S. Department of Commerce authorizations in accordance with regulations, coordinate shipments with logistics and shipping departments, manage export records, coordinate quotations, bids and contracts and answer communications with customers and sales management personnel. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


PR Testing and Evaluation Process Lead 

  • Main liaison between PR team and internal Savage team
    1. Order all editor guns and lead customer service teams on priorities
    2. Will facilitate entire process of PR T/E guns with internal Savage team
      • Ensure products are built, sent through the WTI Process and shipped on time
      • Create processes with team where there are gaps
    3. Lead bi-weekly status call with PR, product and marketing teams
    4. Responsible for communication on order status with writers
    5. In charge of leading returns of all consignment firearms on time

Marketing Product Lead

  • Will submit orders and work with product management and engineering to ensure all new products are supplied for marketing in a timely manner to support launch efforts
  • Will enter orders for all marketing firearms- Media, Partners, Donations, Photo/Video
  • Will lead tracking of all marketing firearms annually for budget purposes
  • Responsible for all show kits and firearm requirements with internal teams and booth company

Import/Export

  • Act as point of contact between customer and all entities within Savage regarding firearm orders
  • Work with Material planning to determine order release dates. Maintain open list of orders and process accordingly.
  • Track export orders and monitor progress through shipping dates. Invoice and file as required. 
  • Provide guidance to customer by country requirements at the time of order confirmation.   
  • Request U. S. Department of State and U. S. Department of Commerce authorizations, internally, in accordance with regulations.
  • Release order shipments to logistics for processing/shipping Invoice orders, prepare shipping documents for final approval from Empowered official.
  • Maintain export shipments records including ACE/ITN entries, AWBs, BOL, etc. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in sales, operations, marketing, shipping support, or project management
  • 5+ years personal computer experience 
  • Must be skilled in clear communication across multiple channels and with varying levels of employees. 
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects at one time and ensure all expectations are clearly outlined, communicated and executed for every project.
