Performs designated routine patient mobilization tasks. Duties are of a supportive nature and are performed only with the on-site supervision of the delegating nurse or therapist. This position does not interpret referrals, perform evaluation procedures, initiate or adjust treatment programs, assume responsibility for planning patient care, and/or discuss medical diagnosis with patients. Coordinates daily unit specific patient mobilization activities, documents in EMR, and other duties as assigned.
- Require one of the following: 1.) Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic, or a military Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic Specialist, or Aerospace Medical Service Specialist; or National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); which must be maintained active during employment; or 2.) Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification: Provide certification of successful completion of an SMH approved program, and successfully obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation.
