Responsible for efficient and effective workflow coordination within the Environmental or Central Patient Transport and Linen Services departments. Duties include fielding calls, monitoring the digital job flow board, coordinating room cleaning assignments or patient/equipment room cleaning assignments and transport and linen requests in coordination with the SMHCS Logistics Center. Additionally, efficiently and effectively handle all other requests to enhance the overall patient capacity, throughput, experience and satisfaction processes. Hospitality flow coordination activities occur 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, supporting efficient and effective workflow processes and high patient satisfaction.
Require one (1) year of computer experience with Microsoft Office software.
Prefer one (1) year previous hospital or healthcare work experience.
Prefer overall knowledge of hospitality operations.
Prefer competence in using software on the SMHCS network and ability to train staff on usage.
Prefer experience using the Internet and intranet.
Prefer ability to communicate in a professional manner both verbally and in writing.
Prefer ability to work under stress and display a confident and professional attitude to staff and the public
Prefer ability to be self-motivated, work independently, and shift priorities with flexibility.
Prefer effective customer service skills.
Prefer knowledge of TeleTracking/Epic software.
