Job Summary

This leader is responsible for planning, developing, and directing the operations of multiple Revenue Cycle departments. The role carries accountability for strategy, planning, organization, oversight, and performance reporting for assigned areas. The leader partners closely with the Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management to ensure fiscal, operational, compliance, and quality goals are achieved, while maintaining a strong focus on the patient experience. This leader is also responsible for setting the tone for the team by modeling positive and effective leadership behaviors and ensuring that departmental and divisional initiatives are successfully executed in alignment with organizational objectives.


Required Qualifications

- Require a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, health information systems or other relevant field of study. Master’s degree and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
- Require a minimum of seven (7) years of Revenue Cycle management experience preferably in a large hospital setting, of which five (5) years were at a senior department level of management.

- Prefer the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Prefer the ability to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, to include composing correspondence and reports.
- Prefer the ability to demonstrate proficiency in PC-based software, the ability to instruct staff on systems and develop complex reports as needed.
- Prefer the ability to demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills to maximize productivity and outcomes.
- Prefer the ability to develop, read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
- Prefer the ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on complex topics to staff, Managers, Directors, Administration, and the Board.
- Prefer the ability to provide leadership and mentoring by guiding individuals and groups towards desired outcomes, setting high performance standards and delivering industry-leading quality services.
