Sandvik Mining is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry. The offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling.

JOB PURPOSE: Maintain and improve all quality-related activities to ensure products, services, and processes meet internal and external standards. The Quality Professional supports continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction by implementing and maintaining quality assurance procedures

Main Responsibilities

· Develop and implement quality control procedures, standards, and integrated

management systems (IMS)

· Maintain quality control systems and procedures.

· Monitor, audit, and evaluate production processes to detect and correct

deviations from quality standards.

· Inspect and test materials, processes, and products for compliance.

· Analyze quality data and create reports for management.

· Train staff on quality control practices and procedures.

· Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

· Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure their products/services

meet company standards.

· Lead root-cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives.

· Document all processes related to quality management and standardization.

· Conduct regular internal audits and support external audits.

· Recommend and implement quality improvement plans.

EXPERIENCE

  • 4+ years of experience working with quality systems, preferably in a service environment.
  • Experience with quality assurance procedures, tools, and methods.

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Post-secondary education/training in business, supply chain, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, quality management) is advantageous.

LICENCES & CERTIFICATES

  • ASQ (American Society for Quality) certification preferred.
  • Six Sigma, OSHA Safety, or Certified Quality Technician certifications are beneficial.
  • Proficiency with ISO 9001 methodologies

OTHER

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
