Job Summary

The Project Manager - STEP Legacy Application Integration plays a pivotal role within STEP, with a specific focus on the coordination of the STEP new build landscape and the legacy BAU teams. Reporting to the STEP Integration Lead, this position ensures seamless cooperation between STEP and the BAU organization and the delivery of STEP related milestones for legacy applications.

Your Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate activities between STEP and legacy application teams incl. BAU functions, facilitating effective communication, knowledge transfer, and alignment of objectives throughout the transformation lifecycle. 
  • Direct and oversee project teams (including external partners), maintaining strict control over progress, quality, and budget to ensure delivery against defined business objectives. 
  • Set up and lead all project-related meetings, maintaining comprehensive records of actions, decisions, issues, and risks, and serving as the primary point of contact for all project-related escalations. 
  • Ensure a smooth transition from project delivery to operational handover, planning and executing all activities associated with each release to minimise business disruption and maximise value realisation. 
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholder success teams and internal departments to gather requirements, provide regular updates, and ensure solutions are fully aligned with business needs and expectations. 
  • Oversee the integration and optimisation of legacy and new build applications, identifying opportunities to streamline business processes and enhance operational efficiency. 
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and external partners to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality solutions and ongoing support. 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the organisation’s digital transformation and growth agenda. 
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators to measure project success. 
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices across all aspects of the project and operational coordination. 

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 10+ years of experience in project delivery and/or application management or IT services within a multinational organization
  • Proven experience managing complex IT projects within large-scale enterprise transformation programmes
  • Strong understanding of Sandoz’ application landscapes and BAU operational environments. 
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage external partners. 
  • Expertise in project planning, risk management, and change management. 
  • Track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Business Administration, or related business field; (Master’s degree is preferred) 
  • Certification in project management methods (Agile, ITIL, Prince 2, PMI) is a plus.  
  • Experience with Agile/DevOps methodologies; Certification is a plus
