The TCM Manager leads day-to-day treasury and cash functions, focusing on accurate cash-flow forecasting, managing bank accounts and relationships, and ensuring treasury activities integrate seamlessly into accounting and financial reporting. This role drives operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement while managing a team and engaging stakeholders.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Cash Forecasting & Planning: Develop and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term cash-flow forecasts; analyze variances; support liquidity planning; run scenario analyses; own forecasting tools and ensure accuracy.
Bank Account & Relationship Management: Oversee all bank accounts, signatories, and online access; manage openings/closures; liaise with banks on pricing and services; monitor cash positions; enforce internal controls and segregation of duties.
Accounting & Integration: Ensure treasury transactions flow into the general ledger; reconcile sub-ledgers; support month-end close and audits; apply accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP) to treasury activities.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead and coach the TCM team; set objectives; foster a culture of service and continuous learning; build technical and soft skills; ensure succession planning.
Compliance & Controls: Maintain robust control frameworks; ensure adherence to policies, SOX, and regulatory requirements; partner with auditors; manage risk and remediation plans.
Systems, Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Own treasury systems and reporting dashboards; automate processes; drive efficiency and productivity improvements; lead cost-reduction initiatives.
Outcomes & Measures: High forecast accuracy, timely reconciliations, zero material control exceptions, strong audit results, and high stakeholder satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; certifications (CTP, CFA, CPA) preferred.
Hands-on treasury experience with progression into management.
Expertise in cash-flow forecasting, bank operations, and accounting integration.
Familiarity with treasury systems (e.g.,SAP Treasury) and ERP platforms.
Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage risk.
KPIs & Performance Metrics
Forecast accuracy measured by targeted variance (e.g. within ±10% of actuals).
Reconciliation completion rate (100% cash and sub-ledger reconciliations by period-end).
Payment error and return rate (maintained below internal threshold).
Control exception rate (zero material exceptions).
On-time completion of key TCM processes (bank certification, report distribution).
Cost efficiency (operating within budget and defined FTE parameters).
Stakeholder satisfaction scores (high ratings from internal customers).
Audit outcomes (no significant findings from internal/external audits).
