As Head of MS&T for SM, you'll lead the Small Molecules platform’s MS&T organization, which is responsible to maintain and improve the scientific oversight of the manufacturing processes, technical changes, the relevant technical knowledge,  capabilities at the platform and to ensure the product and technical stewardship, across process units / functions at platform.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Act as SPOC for Global MS&T head, Small Molecules platform QA head, site heads and site MS&T heads for all MS&T related topics.

• Set objectives and develops vision for MS&T organization of Small Molecules platform
• Establish and maintain MS&T organizational capability and governance processes for Small Molecules platform to ensure products and technologies are within validation and current technology standards.
• Drive and maintain the implementation of the blueprint MS&T organization across the Small Molecules platform.
• Assess MS&T capabilities in the Small Molecules platform (e.g. organizational set-up, resource availability, availability of technical capabilities, succession plans, reporting, contribution to platform objectives)
• Manage the MS&T talent pipeline through career path, succession planning, training program and career progression within Small Molecules platform.
• Guiding the teams & cross functional Teams in terms of ensuring a state of the art & fit for purpose Mfg lines at all the Mfg sites across the platform with all necessary process controls in the equipments to maintain products at a Validated state all the time.
• Drive a culture of quality and compliance across the MS&T organization.
• Work with the other MS&T platform heads, councils / boards and networks to drive reapplication of standard work processes and best practices.
• Ensure that quality and compliance improvement and savings opportunities are rapidly re-applied across platform.
• Reporting according to QM, STO LT, quality cockpit, Global MS&T.
• Define and implement standards for MS&T (e.g. platform SOPs, templates).
• Ensure overall inspection readiness for area of responsibility.

• Ensure robust product stewardship for all products manufactured at the Small Molecules platform, and end-to-end technical oversight of product manufacturing processes, at all stages of their commercial lifecycle. Ensure that all products, processes, unit operations are assigned to a product steward / technical steward / process expert / packaging expert.

• Provide strong technical leadership to ensure product and related packaging operations are maintained in compliance with current GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Assess multiyear trends, make recommendations/drive product and process improvements, and initiate/support CAPAs.

What you need to bring to the role:

• Post Graduate in Pharmacy/Biology/Chemistry/Relevant Life Sciences/ Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Technology (preferred)
• Fluent in English is a must, other languages will be valuable.
• 15 -18 years of relevant experience in manufacturing. Additional specialist experience is preferred (e.g, pharmaceutical formulation, process development, manufacturing technology).
• Proven experience driving product quality and compliance in an organization.
• Strong working knowledge of applied statistics, quality systems and regulatory requirements across multiple health authorities.
• Fundamental understanding of standard pharmaceutical analytical testing.
