The Business Development Director for Biosimilars will lead strategic initiatives to identify, evaluate, and execute business development opportunities that strengthen the company’s biosimilars portfolio. This role requires deep industry knowledge, preferably in Biosimilars, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build partnerships that drive long-term growth in a highly competitive and regulated environment.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement global BD strategy for biosimilars aligned with corporate objectives.
    • Identify market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in biosimilars.
  • Deal Origination & Execution:
    • Source, evaluate, and negotiate licensing, co-development, and acquisition opportunities.
    • Lead end-to-end deal process including due diligence, valuation, and contract negotiations.
  • Partnership Management:
    • Build and maintain relationships with key external partners
    • Represent the company in high-level discussions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with R&D, Regulatory, Legal, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless execution of BD projects.
    • Provide strategic input on portfolio planning and lifecycle management.
  • Market & Financial Analysis:
    • Review and understand financial modelling and business case development for potential deals.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Essential Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or Business (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience Pharmaceutical industry , with at least 5 years in  BD/Alliance management in biosimilars or biologics.
  • Proven track record of executing complex BD transactions (licensing, M&A, partnerships).
  • Strong understanding of global biosimilars market, regulatory pathways, and commercialization strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
