Lead the strategic development, design and implementation of the Sandoz global protective physical security systems to safeguard Sandoz’s people, assets, and operations. Reporting to the Global Head of Security & Investigations, accountabilities will be relating to a wide variety of physical security issues, including establishment of physical / technical security global standards, security design, project management, physical access controls, alarms and alarm monitoring, as well as CCTV.
Management of Global Physical Access Management (GPAM) program forming part of Protective Security applications across Commercial Operations, Sandoz Technical Organization (STO) and Laboratories.
Integration with central access systems located in the global Security Operations Center.
Support the implementation of an integrated framework for physical security through strong collaboration and cooperation with Real Estate Workplace and Mobility (REWaM), STO Engineering and Information Technology departments.
Continuous improvement through evaluation, review and publication of global standards related to design and support physical security protective systems to ensure innovation and use of emerging technologies.
Physical security risk mitigation and auditing to identify, report risks and help develop recommendations to further protect the business.
Ensure program compliance with international standards (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 22341), EU directives, CER / NIS2, and internal governance frameworks.
Subject matter support for the Corporate Security, Business Continuity and Crisis Management teams.
The ability to design and provide effective and efficient support for all site physical / technical security plans / projects. Project management ability is critical to this role.
The ability to operate cross functionally, while reporting into Corporate Security, work closely with REWaM, STO, IT and other company colleagues, operationally.
The ability to research, develop, evaluate, update and publish global technical security standards for all business units to ensure continuous improvement and efficient use of emerging technologies.
Comfortability working with plans, drawings as well as other architectural / construction documents both in hard copy and electronic.
The ability to provide project specific support and guidance and assist business units in implementation of global technical security standards.
The ability to integrate desired security technology into all CAPEX projects from design phase through completion.
The ability to manage and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services from Protective Security external partners and contractors.
The ability to assist in the planning and implementation of a technical security information and training programs for REWaM Cluster Leads and Site Security Champions.
Support to the Executive Security program by assisting with residential and event site risk auditing and remedial recommendations.
Full compliance with all Sandoz and Corporate Security policies and procedures.
Strong working experience in security project design, management, and operations.
10+ years of experience in physical security systems design and implementation, ideally within pharma, critical infrastructure, or other high‑risk industries.
Background working with Global Security Operations Centers (GSOCs), converged security platforms, and vendor management.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a technical security field or related discipline; equivalent professional experience also considered.
Industry certifications preferred, such as PSP (ASIS), CPP, or equivalent credentials.
Fluency in written and spoken English required; proficiency in additional commonly used languages is desirable.
