About the role:


The Workplace Coordinator is a key onsite role responsible for keeping our San Francisco headquarters running smoothly day to day. This person is the first line of support for workplace-related requests, events, mail, and facilities coordination, ensuring a seamless employee experience and strong operational execution.


This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.


This role is based in our San Francisco office and will be onsite 5 days a week.

In this role, you will: 



  • Answer, triage, assign, and close incoming workplace support tickets

  • Manage Jira ticket assignments and ensure timely resolution

  • Submit and track maintenance-related tickets for the building engineer via Prism

  • Liaise directly with the building engineer on facilities and maintenance issues

  • Input, monitor, and follow up on workplace-related service requests

  • Support onsite events, including setup, breakdown, and day-of coordination

  • Provide R1 event support as needed

  • Post weekly office menus and communicate food-related updates

  • Assist with desk assignments and create desk name flags upon request

  • Stamp and date incoming mail

  • Scan mail into Envoy and route appropriately

  • Sort mail by department, including checks

  • Tag packages and enter tracking information

  • Log all executive and legal mail in accordance with established SOPs

  • Perform daily package audits to confirm pickups

  • Scan and track documentation for incoming hazmat packages

  • Coordinate package delivery for Engineering teams and office supplies

  • Restock office supplies throughout the office

  • Monitor supply levels and flag replenishment needs proactively

  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices


Minimum requirements for the role:



  • 1–3 years of experience in workplace operations, office coordination, facilities, or a similar role

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Experience working with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira) and workplace tools (e.g., Envoy)

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to changing needs

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Comfortable working onsite in a hands-on, service-oriented role

  • Ability to lift and move packages and supplies as needed


 

Samsara’s Compensation Philosophy: Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles. For eligible roles, a new hire RSU award may be awarded at the time of hire, and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually.


We pay for performance, and top performers in eligible roles may receive above-market equity refresh awards which allow employees to achieve higher market.

The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
