  • Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registry eligible.
  • Current BCLS certification. Maintains all registries and licenses required by state and federal law.
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology or Medical Sonography required.
  • One year of radiologic/imaging experience. Specific experience and training in Medical Sonography. Vascular and obstetric experience required.
  • Possesses knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Department specific training.
  • Proficiency with most major Medical Sonography equipment, manufacturer's hardware and software.
  • Ability to comply with on-call specifics.
  • Proficient in the use of a personal computer including word processing. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to independently take initiative and exercise good judgment in decision-making. Ability to work efficiently and effectively under deadline pressures and to simultaneously handle multiple projects.
  • Professional maturity that daily sets the tone in carrying out the responsibilities of the position.
  • High degree of honesty, integrity and confidentiality. Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to undertake new responsibilities as assigned. Ability to work under stress
