Job DetailsJob Location: TX-Odessa TS - Odessa, TX 79764Position Type: Full Time RegularEducation Level: High School Diploma/GEDJob Shift: AnyJob Category: StorePlans, administers, monitors, and evaluates the day-to-day operations of a small Family Store with a limited staff ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures; processes, displays, and prices donated items to ensure a maximum financial return on the sale of store items; assists customers in a polite and friendly manner; prepares store displays that are attractive, neat, and orderly; rotates and re-stocks store merchandise to ensure quick turnover; ensures the accountability and security of all store items and funds; serves as a supervisor and/or lead worker to volunteers and/or subordinate store personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepares, processes, and maintains various sales records, tax forms and social service vouchers; prepares routine sales reports as directed.
Assists with sorting and pricing items and driving the forklift as needed.
Acts as back to Truck Driver during vacancies and absences.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Knowledge of effective and efficient methods for organizing and maintaining records and ability to perform the same.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of retail store management.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of effective customer relations.
Ability to evaluate overall store operations to detect deficiencies and implement appropriate corrective action.
Ability to price donated merchandise reasonably and fairly.
Ability to present a positive and professional image of The Salvation Army.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or G.E.D. and
Three years supervisory experience working in a retail store environment or
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Certifications:
Valid State Drivers License
