About this opportunity:
Under the direction of the Camp Maintenance Supervisor, maintenance workers assist in the maintenance and repair of the camp’s buildings, grounds, equipment and other facilities consistent with the mission and established policies and procedures of the camp. In the role you will help assist with camper luggage on opening and closing days and help maintain campgrounds by operating necessary ground care equipment, such as mowers, tractors, and chainsaws, safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities:
Must be at least 16 years old and a high school graduate or GED preferred.
A heart for others and a mind towards Christ.
Should be self-motivated and teachable.
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
CPR & First Aid certified or capable of passing by June 15, 2026 (training provided by Camp Hoblitzelle during staff training if needed.)
A willingness to abide by The Salvation Army doctrinal statement and Camp Hoblitzelle’s policies.
Must be able to pass a state and federal background check.
Additional Information:
Camp Staff Training will be held June 8 – June 14, 2026, and participation is required. The 2026 summer Camp program sessions will be held June 15 - July 26, 2026. If you are unable to work the entire season, please let us know on your application.
