About this role

Job Description​

Registered nurse position on the Transfer Team for day shift. Self-directed and functions independently to facilitate internal and external physician access to SLHS. Demonstrates increasing discriminatory judgment in interpreting data and prioritizes appropriately. Utilizes the nursing process, requiring ability to work independently, with strong problem solving skills, critical thinking. Work effectively and cooperatively with diverse members of the health care team. Communicates clinical issues and address these issues immediately via proper System channels. Serves as resource to colleagues at the unit or department levels. The position provides tele-nursing care to a diverse population of critically ill patients across the SLHS. Serves as a tele-health nurse to patients discharged from SLHS facilities to evaluate, triage, and communicate with SLHS physicians, clinical staff, Care Integration and other clinical and social support as needed. Delegates task as appropriate and assumes preceptor responsibilities as needed.

Requirements include 2 years experience in Med- Surg/Intermediate/ED/or Critical Care with a current RN Mo License and BLS. Associates Degree in Nursing is required.

Hours are Part Time Nights - 12 hour shifts
