The Opportunity:  

Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is hiring for an experienced Registered Nurse to join their Intermediate Progressive Care Unit. This nursing team provides care to post-surgical and medical short stay patients in a fast-paced environment with various acuity levels.  

This Registered Nurse position on the Intermediate PCU will allow you to build relationships with your patients in a positive environment led by supportive and engaging leadership that believes in developing a strength driven career path. This is a great opportunity to master your nursing skills while learning new skills and growing your career. 

This Intermediate Unit will allow you to gain RN experience with: 

  • Fast Paced Environment 

  • Variety in acuity levels, conditions and treatments 

  • ICU Stabilization 

  • Work with patients across all specialties 

  • High Patient Turn Over 

  • Post-Surgical and Medical Patients 

Shift Details: night shift 6:45 pm to 7:15 am This position comes with night and weekend shift differental.

  

The Work:  

  • Accountable for utilizing the nursing process. 

  • Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. 

  • This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures. 

Job Requirements

Applicable Experience:

Less than 1 year

Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)

Associate Degree - Nursing
