About this role

Job Description​

The Opportunity:  Saint Luke’s East Hospital is seeking an OB Technologist to assist in the delivery of care to the patient experiencing surgical intervention, providing a safe environment in compliance with agency policies and procedures.   

Position Details:

  • Shift: Full-time-7 p.m. to 7 a.m., 3 shifts per week.

Responsibilities:

  • OB Technician within the organizational structure of the Labor and Delivery area assists in delivery of care to the patient experiencing surgical intervention.
  • Primary function is to assist with surgical procedures.
  • The OB Tech provides patient care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
  • The OB Tech individualizes and modifies care according to the patients needs.
  • The OB Tech collaborates with other health care team members to enhance the provision of patient care.
  • The OB Tech assumes a multiskilled role performing clinical and clerical functions that serves as an integral member of the primary patient care team.

Experience:

  • Childbirth & Surgical procedure experience preferred
