What you'll do

As the Brand Proposition Manager at Sainsbury's, you will play a pivotal role in developing and driving the brand plans for Argos and Habitat, translating these ambitions into distinctive and bold propositions that set our brands apart in the market. By gaining key stakeholder input and alignment, leveraging insights, and focusing on customer relevance, you will develop marketing propositions that address key customer opportunities while aligning with brand objectives. Working closely with commercial stakeholders, you will support trade planning priorities and collaborate with marketing and retail channel teams to bring these propositions to life creatively. Your role will involve anticipating risks and recommending adjustments to optimise the plan, contributing to the development of annual and quarterly customer plans that reflect brand priorities and support the corporate strategy.

Your strong influencing skills, collaborative approach, and resilience enable you to build relationships, inspire trust, and navigate competing priorities while driving the development and execution of impactful marketing propositions that bring our brand ambitions to life.

Essential Criteria

Brand Strategy Expertise: Proven experience in developing and executing brand strategy/propositions within retail.

Customer and Commercial Focus: Strong understanding of customer behaviour and commercial drivers, with the ability to align brand activity to business objectives.

Insight-Driven Decision Making: Experience using customer insights and real-time data to inform brand strategy, anticipate risks, and optimise opportunities.

Communication and Stakeholder Relationships: Strong experience building cross-functional relationships which enables you to inspire, influence and execute our brands plans in a credible way.
