About this role

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Platform Analytics Engineer to develop Department of State Assessment Tool (DOSAT) dashboards. The engineer will be supporting the Vendor Performance Management (VPM) initiatives within the Department of State’s Bureau of Diplomatic Technology (DT). 

This role is hybrid and reports onsite in Washington, DC on Tuesday and Thursday. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Data Visualization & Reporting: Create and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and scorecards using ServiceNow Platform Analytics.

  • Performance Analysis: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure feature usage, platform engagement, and system performance.

  • Platform Optimization: Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for enhancing platform functionality and user experience.

  • Data Governance & Modeling: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity, including managing data models, ETL processes, and user access permissions.

  • Technical Implementation: Leverage knowledge of ServiceNow table structures, data relationships, and domain separation to ensure accurate data modeling.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Product Managers, Data Engineering, and leadership to define metrics, analyze user behavior, and support strategic decision-making.



Required Education & Experience:

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 14 years or more experience; MS and 12 years or more experience; may accept additional experience in lieu of degree.
  • 5 or more years in data analytics, business intelligence, or product analytics.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools ServiceNow Platform Analytics – knowledge of Tableau is nice to have.
  • Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with specific platforms ServiceNow Performance Analytics and/or ServiceNow Platform Analytics.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to conduct A/B testing, predictive modeling, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with common tools & technologies such as: 
    • Data Visualization: ServiceNow Platform and Performance Analytics.
    • Database/Languages: SQL, JavaScript, Glide API

       

Required Clearance:

  • US Citizenship.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
