About this role
SAIC is seeking a Senior Project Analyst to assist in engineering, technical project/program management, or the hard sciences to support cutting-edge technical acquisition and research programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical, engineering, and programmatic support to one or more R&D programs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams consisting of government organizations, contractors, national laboratories, and commercial vendors to provide expertise during the lifecycle of R&D programs.
- Apply systems engineering principles to support the development and deployment of Rad/Nuc detection systems.
- Support the DHS Systems Engineering Lifecycle process, including requirements gathering, system deployment, and operational phases.
- Assist in the development, release, and management of solicitations, such as Broad Agency Announcements (BAA), Grants/Cooperative Agreement Notice of Funding Opportunities (NOFO), and Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) competitive bids.
- Leverage expertise in program/project management, solicitation administration, and technical engineering to support R&D initiatives.
Required
- BS and 9 years overall experience (4 years experience in lieu of degree)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust requiring U.S. Citizenship
- Proven experience supporting technical acquisition and research programs from conceptualization through deployment.
- Expertise in systems engineering, including requirements definition, development, deployment, and operations.
- Hands-on experience with Rad/Nuc detection systems.
- Working knowledge of the DHS Systems Engineering Lifecycle and relevant processes.
- Demonstrated experience in solicitation development and management, including BAAs, NOFOs, and SBIRs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work alongside diverse scientific and engineering teams.
- Familiarity with government acquisition and R&D program management processes.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field such as engineering, physics, or a related hard science discipline.
