SAIC is seeking a Printer/System Administrator for a full-time/onsite role in Quantico, VA.

Introduction

Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated IT professionals who will sustain, modernize and transform the enterprise IT capabilities of the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). The Air Force and Combatant Commands Business Group of SAIC is seeking a Printer Administrator to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.

SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation's information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.

Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, an cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT).

Job Description

  • Provides advanced technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, printer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems. Including, but not limited to 1) installing, configuring, and deploying printers, copiers, and multifunction devices; 2) Setting up and managing print servers and ensuring proper network connectivity; 3) configuring and maintaining printer drivers and print queues in line with organizational policies.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves hardware and software issues related to printing devices.
  • Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering.
  • Provides technical support and assistance to end-users regarding printing issues.
  • Conducts training sessions for users on proper printer usage and troubleshooting basic issues.
  • Develops and distributes user guides and documentation for printer-related tasks.
  • Interacts directly with the customer/user when the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature, such as with systems level software where the user has a technical background. Additionally, may interact with product support personnel and potentially the customer when the customers problem cannot be resolved directly by first-level resources.
  • Performs regular maintenance and periodic servicing of printing devices to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintains detailed records of printer setups, configurations, maintenance activities, and service requests.
  • Generates reports on printer usage, performance metrics, and cost analysis for management review.
  • Documents standard operating procedures (SOPs) for printer management and troubleshooting.
  • Ensures printing devices and services comply with organizational security policies and data protection standards.
    Implements access controls and print auditing to ensure secure and authorized printing.
  • Stays updated with the latest security risks related to printers and take proactive measures to mitigate threats.
    Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.


It is required that the Printer Administrator have the following qualifications:

  • BA/BS.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience. An additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • US Citizen and Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • IAT Level II Certification in one of the following areas: CCNA-Security, CySA+, Security+ CE and/or CND.
