About this role

SAIC is seeking an Enterprise Architect to serve as the technical cornerstone of the Coast Guard Office of Technical Readiness Digital Transformation Office in Washington, DC.

This role will define the architectural vision, standards, and technical frameworks necessary to enable enterprise digital transformation using existing Coast Guard technology resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the Digital Transformation Architecture Framework.
  • Develop target-state and transition architectures.
  • Establish standards for:
    • Digital engineering
    • Model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
    • Data integration
    • Interoperability
  • Align transformation initiatives to Coast Guard enterprise architecture.
  • Evaluate existing technical environments and modernization opportunities.
  • Support development of the Digital Transformation Strategy and Roadmap.
  • Provide architectural guidance to operational transformation pilots.
  • Define reusable technical patterns and reference architectures.
  • Support governance, investment planning, and technical decision-making.
  • Coordinate with IT leadership and system owners.


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and nine (9) years of enterprise architecture experience.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess an active Interim Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance; US Citizenship required.

Required Skills:

  • Must have 1 of the following certification TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect, CISSP
  • Experience supporting federal IT environments.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, DoDAF).
  • Experience with systems integration and modernization.
  • Knowledge of cloud, data, and digital engineering architectures.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting DHS or US Coast Guard enterprise architecture.
  • Experience with MBSE tools and digital engineering environments.
  • Experience integrating legacy and modern systems.
  • EA certification (TOGAF) preferred.
  • Experience with data architecture, integration platforms, and analytics ecosystems
  • Experience supporting systems undergoing RMF or ATO processes
