<strong>Job Summary<br></strong><br>
</div><div>AZDES Office of Inspector General is seeking an experienced <strong>Administrative Law Judge (Specialist)</strong> to conduct administrative hearings related to social services programs. This is a <strong>contract-to-hire, fully remote</strong> role with long-term potential.<br><br>

<strong>Key Responsibilities<br></strong><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Conduct administrative hearings (in person or telephonic)<br><br>
</li>
<li>Ask questions, manage the hearing process, and maintain official records<br><br>
</li>
<li>Make evidentiary rulings and control the course of hearings<br><br>
</li>
<li>Perform legal research and issue legally sound decisions<br><br>
</li>
<li>Provide guidance to parties regarding hearing procedures<br><br>
</li>
<li>Investigate and respond to customer complaints<br><br>
</li>
<li>Follow up to ensure hearing decisions are properly implemented<br><br>
</li>

<strong>Required Qualifications<br></strong><br>

<strong>Juris Doctor (JD) Degree – Mandatory<br></strong><br>
</li>

<li>Strong legal research and decision-writing skills<br><br>
</li>
