Raytheon’s Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) strategic business unit (SBU) specializes in multi-domain integrated air and missile defense, advanced sensors, space-based systems, hypersonics, effectors and cyber solutions. Focused on program execution, business growth and the highest level of customer satisfaction, the ASDS team provides customers with unmatched capabilities of detection and sensing, command and control, and air-to-air, air-to-surface, and surface-to-air munitions to accomplish air, space and missile defense missions.  Within ASDS, Space Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance is our Sub-SBU that delivers information superiority from space, multi-mission automation and orchestration, multiple intelligence (Multi-INT) and resilient operations, secure processing, and data management.

In this role, you will join a small, highly-focus team working to develop and maintain signal processing applications for use in a real-time operational environment. The team members are multi-disciplined and contribute across all phases of systems engineering, software development, integration and test, and metrics. The team works closely with operations personnel to meet unique and continuously evolving development needs. This position is an onsite role in Aurora, CO

What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for DSP applications.
  • Work with talented teams of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.

What You Will Learn

  • Modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques.
  • Software lifecycle practices on defense projects.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 10 years of prior, relevant software engineering experience.
  • Experience with software development using C++, Java, and Python in a Linux environment.
  • Experience with cloud-based software architectures and technologies.
  • Familiar with DevSecOps delivery paradigm and Atlassian tools.
  • An active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date.  An active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance that can be crossed over to a TS/SCI security clearance is also acceptable.  U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with SIGINT, Digital Signal Processing (DSP) or DSP related software.
  • Experience with X-Midas or similar digital signal processing framework.
  • Experience with test automation using GitLab pipelines.
  • Experience with Linux scripting using csh and bash.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
