We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team in Rockford, supporting our FAA repair station specializing in ram air turbines, electric power generation, and actuation systems. This role will support the Aftermarket Separation Agreement and associated LRU activities along with the MRO engineering activities below.

What You Will Do

  • Support all MRO engineering activities related to the Aftermarket Separation Agreement for affected MRO products.
  • Develop and implement solutions to technical issues.
  • Review existing repair data, technical drawings, and previous repair history for complete mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems and components.
  • Provide written technical instructions for repairs or modifications to maintenance teams, customers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Review and analyze test reject data to develop solutions that improve test yield.
  • Produce technical analyses to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, customer, and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) requirements; update and revise technical data in shop procedures accordingly.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Communicate information clearly and respond to administrative and customer queries on technical topics.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

Qualifications We Prefer

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Prior experience in mechanical systems and/or product support is preferred.
  • Prior MRO experience is preferred. 
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams on shop floor issues, process development, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize tasks.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
