About the role:

Position Summary

The purpose of the position is to assist the Cyber Security & Privacy Risk Services division to accomplish its objectives, add value and improve its operations by conducting a program of IT and cyber security audits and consulting engagements for various clients across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops a basic ability to apply fundamental cyber / consulting / audit skills as incorporated in the various RSM processes.
  • Progressively able to understand and document information systems and processes correctly.
  • Develops a basic ability to apply the fundamentals of cyber security / IT audit and risk management.
  • Understands information security controls and how they relate to engagement requirements.
  • Understands and perform tests of internal controls and audit procedures as directed and in accordance with RSM policies and procedures.
  • Identifies and refers ethical, independence and conflict issues to supervisors.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the fundamental electronic audit tools.
  • Completes allocated tasks in accordance with directions given.
  • Maintains personal documentation (training records, time sheets, expenses).

About you:

Education Requirements:

Essental

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar.

Demonstrated Experience & Attributes

Essential

  • Basic knowledge of IT and Cyber Security frameworks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Desirable

  • Previous experience in Cyber Security, IT auditing of application systems, networking, databases, change management and other related IT governance and operational functions.
