Home Care - Support Worker – Ryde & surrounding suburbs

• Pay rate: $36.49 per hour plus travel expenses (paid per km for client visits)

As a Community Support Worker, you’ll help people stay safe and comfortable at home by:

• Helping with personal care (showering, dressing, grooming)

• Providing respite care (giving our clients Carers a break)

• Helping clients stay active and connected in their community

• Following care plans to meet each person’s needs

• Working as a team to provide the best support possible

To succeed in this role, our expectations are that you will:

• Certificate in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or Community Services - at this moment in time, we're sorry but we can't consider you if you don't have one of these qualifications

• Have a caring nature – be genuinely passionate about helping people

• Have excellent communication skills – you'll be to chat, engage and interact with clients and your colleagues

• Australian working rights

• A valid Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable, fully insured car

• A Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to get one)

• First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to get one)

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
