<p><strong>How it’s going (and growing)</strong></p>
<p>With a talented team of 750+ Roofsters, our collaborative, can-do culture is what fuels our growth. In 2022, we closed on our Series E, raising $240 million, and have offices in the Bay Area and New York City. Our growth includes recent acquisitions of <strong>Stessa</strong> (financial and asset management software), <strong>RentPrep</strong> (tenant screening and placement service for landlords), and <strong>Mynd</strong> (property management platform for both Retail and Institutional investors). In 2025, Roofstock took an ownership stake in <strong>Casago</strong> (short-term rental management services), expanding our platform to support both long-term and short-term rental investment services.</p>
<p><strong>About the Role:</strong><strong><br></strong><strong><br></strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Senior Property Accountant will provide full cycle accounting support for the property management team, and function as a key member of the team. This role is responsible for communicating financial results to both external clients and management teams. The skills required to succeed in this role include strong accounting, collaboration, communication skills.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br></span><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><strong><br></strong></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Provide daily accounting functions for multiple regions</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports in accordance with GAAP </span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Prepare monthly accrual journal entries and financial statements</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Preparation/reconciliation and bank reconciliations.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Prepare monthly distributions to clients</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Review and maintain accuracy of general ledgers</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">G/L activity posting, Balance Sheet reconciliation and maintenance of </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">subsidiary ledgers</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Support Property Accounting Managers with ad hoc projects, monthly close </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">and distributions</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Monitor cash receipt postings, tenant billings, billing adjustments and </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">perform tenant ledger reconciliations when necessary</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Review invoice coding and invoice workflow to ensure adherence to </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">capitalization policies and timely payments to vendors</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Coordinate with various departments to ensure accounting accuracy and </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">completeness of financial packages</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to independently research historical cash transactions and provide</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Portfolio Managers and Regional Directors with timely responses</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Provide accounting detail and assistance to Property Accounting Managers </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">for all internal and/or external auditors</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Research new accounting laws and regulations for different states as </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">needed</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Prepare annual 1099 and 1096 reporting to vendors and IRS</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Prepare quarterly 592 and 588 forms to Franchise Tax Board on as needed </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">basis</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Performs ad hoc assignments as needed</span></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong><strong><br></strong></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent preferred.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">4-6 years of Real Estate Accounting experience.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience in Public Accounting highly preferred.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Proficiency using Excel and Google Suite products.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Adaptability – maintains effectiveness in varying environments, tasks and </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">responsibilities, or with various types of people.</span></li>

<p><strong>Location</strong></p>
<p> This position is classified as Remote within the Greater Dallas Area.</p>
<p><strong>Compensation</strong></p>
<p> $80,000 - $92,000 range on annual base salary. The compensation range may be adjusted based on experience and location.</p>
<p><strong>Pay Transparency</strong></p>
<p>Our compensation reflects several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position represents the expected salary for this position. Ultimately, in determining your pay it will be based on several factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and other job related factors. Roofstock is a total compensation company; the base salary is only a part of our total compensation package.</p>
