Position summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern (3 to 6 months) to join our project team. This internship offers hands-on experience in sourcing, purchasing and supplier management for engineering projects. You’ll work closely with order management and project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting in sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers to meet project needs and budget requirements

  • Preparing vendor comparisons, purchase orders, contracts, and related documents in compliance with procurement policies

  • Drafting and issuing POs to suppliers in the SAP Business Suite 4 SAP HANA system for approval

  • Maintaining accurate procurement records, including PO registers, WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) categorisation, inventory levels and goods receipts

  • Supporting project teams with material specifications, timelines and market research on suppliers and industry trends

  • Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues related to delivery, quality or documentation

  • Handling vendor onboarding processes, including NDAs, KYP, and new vendor registration

  • Preparing and reviewing commercial invoices, packing lists, delivery notes and external vendor invoices for audit compliance

  • Carrying out any other duties or special assignments as directed by the OM or Project Manager

Who we’re looking for: 

  • Students pursuing a Higher Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Familiarity with ERP/ SAP Hana 4 systems (Enterprise Resource Planning/ SAP Business Suite 4 SAP HANA) and procurement software

  • Basic understanding of contract management and negotiation principles

  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory compliance
