Position summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern (3 to 6 months) to join our project team. This internship offers hands-on experience in sourcing, purchasing and supplier management for engineering projects. You’ll work closely with order management and project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
What you’ll be doing:
Assisting in sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers to meet project needs and budget requirements
Preparing vendor comparisons, purchase orders, contracts, and related documents in compliance with procurement policies
Drafting and issuing POs to suppliers in the SAP Business Suite 4 SAP HANA system for approval
Maintaining accurate procurement records, including PO registers, WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) categorisation, inventory levels and goods receipts
Supporting project teams with material specifications, timelines and market research on suppliers and industry trends
Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues related to delivery, quality or documentation
Handling vendor onboarding processes, including NDAs, KYP, and new vendor registration
Preparing and reviewing commercial invoices, packing lists, delivery notes and external vendor invoices for audit compliance
Carrying out any other duties or special assignments as directed by the OM or Project Manager
Who we’re looking for:
Students pursuing a Higher Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Familiarity with ERP/ SAP Hana 4 systems (Enterprise Resource Planning/ SAP Business Suite 4 SAP HANA) and procurement software
Basic understanding of contract management and negotiation principles
Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory compliance
