Position Summary

This role reports to the Head of Cyber Security Risk and Compliance (Civil Aerospace).

The role of Civil Digital Risk & Compliance Partner acts as the link between the Civil business and the Digital & IT function, the role will support the articulation of business impact from IT Risks and ensure the risks are factored into decision making.

The role will also provide support and leadership in maintaining our efforts to become more focussed on resilience.

The role applies structured analytical thinking and quantitative techniques to model, quantify and communicate risk. It bridges Engineering, Digital and Commercial domains, enabling evidence-based decision making across complex project portfolio, joint ventures, and supplier ecosystems.

The role plays a key part in strengthening organisational resilience, ensuring the digital, operational, and regulatory risks are anticipated, measured and managed across the full delivery lifecycle.

What you will be doing:

  • Coordinate risk management across the Civil IT function and to monitor IT disruption within appetite.
  • Provide direction on risk and ensure that IT risk is suitably addressed within Civil Aerospace.
  • Manage risk and compliance reporting and escalation across the Civil cyber security, IT risk and compliance landscape.
  • Promote and enhance our ‘Minimum Viable Company’ programme by influencing Business and IT leaders.
  • Enable and maintain Joint Venture & Supplier Management assessment programme in conjunction with our Digital & IT colleagues.
  • Close collaboration and support with our Business Partners to deliver key outcomes.
  • Apply analytical and quantitative methods to generate data-driven insights.

Position Qualifications:

  • Broad knowledge of Rolls-Royce risk management principles, tools and techniques.
  • Good overall knowledge of the Civil business, including its strategies and plans.
  • Understands external and internal standards as they apply and acknowledges the need to maintain a practical and pragmatic approach to compliance.
  • Demonstrates the ability to translate complex risk and compliance data into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Has experience in designing or using technical solutions to manage and present complex data sets (e.g. Power Apps, Power Platform, or similar digital tools).
