Hopkinsville Quarry - Rogers Group Inc – Hopkinsville, KY

Starting pay will be set at $27 per hour. Overall pay will be determined based on the candidate’s overall experience and skill set.

Full Time Day Shift: 5:45 am – 3:30 pm. 

Rogers Group is seeking a Day shift Production Lead for our surface operation located in Hopkinsville, KY. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but not limited to:

  • Lead a crew of 4-6 safely and effectively
  • Identify and correct safety and production issues
  • Routine equipment/plant maintenance and repair
  • Operating various production equipment including fixed and mobile
  • Involved with plant improvement projects
  • Inspect, perform, and document daily repairs and maintenance on plant as needed
  • Inspect and maintain crushers, conveyors, screens, and other equipment
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have dedication to safe work practices.
  • Minimum of 2 years mining, industrial, or similar lead person experience is required.
  • Mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Must be willing to work outside in a variety of conditions
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Experience in heavy equipment is preferred, but not required
  • Working knowledge of quarry utilities and equipment including crushers, conveyors, scales, etc. 
  • Physical ability to lift, climb, and work on elevated platforms as required by the job.
  • Experience welding and cutting
  • Experience leading a crew in safety and production.
