Rogers Group is currently seeking an individual to fill an EQUIPMENT OPERATOR position working in and around HOPKINSVILLE, KY. This individual will be responsible for operating various pieces of equipment as needed, and assisting with general labor needs on the base, grading, and stone crew.

The successful candidate for this position will have familiarity and experience operating various pieces of heavy equipment including as well as an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery to support base and grading crew needs in road construction. (i.e. articulated and rigid frame haul trucks, bobcats, track-hoes, back-hoes, motor grader, dozer, base stone roller, chipper truck, and broom.)
• Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
• Effective communication skills applicable to position.
• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Dedication to safe work practices.
• 1-2 years experience in operating heavy equipment is preferred.
• Ability to perform general laborer and clean-up duties as needed/directed.
• May be called upon at the discretion of management to perform any other duties assigned and/or assist other areas as necessary.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as necessary.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record and Valid Drivers License required.
