About this role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Production Supervisor - Yard and Briquette Plant at Milton, ON to join our Production Team.

Shift Work – Continental 12- Hour Rotating Shifts, Working Every Second Weekend.

The annual base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000 CAD. Your base salary is determined based on location, experience and the pay of employees in similar positions.

Your future team:

You will become part of the Yard and Brick plant team managing a team of 10-15 people and reporting to the Production Manager.

What you will be doing:

  • Enforce all safety policies and procedures (including LOTO, PPE, WAH, Confined Space, First Aid) to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Lead, train, and develop employees to ensure they are competent, safe, and aligned with company policies and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and environmentally compliant yard and briquette plant.
  • Ensure briquettes are produced in the right quantity and quality to meet cupola and fibre chemistry requirements.
  • Oversee proper handling and storage of raw materials and briquettes to prevent quality issues and cross-contamination.
  • Direct raw material and waste handling to ensure continuous, uninterrupted production flow.
  • Execute the daily briquette production schedule and drive operational improvements in the area.
  • Coordinate closely with Maintenance to report defects, reduce downtime, and support equipment reliability.
  • Monitor and report daily KPIs, participate in Rockwool Excellence activities, and support data-driven improvements.
  • Manage performance and attendance (including feedback and reviews) while fostering continuous improvement in people, processes, and equipment.

What you bring:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Production Supervisor (Mechanical background)
  • Must have leadership experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience working with automated systems/conveyors.
  • Must be WAH, Confined Space and First Aid trained.
  • Sound understanding or Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Strong experience with MS Office products, such as Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, Project
