Job Purpose & Scope

The Supervisor, Industrial Cleaning is responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising all industrial cleaning activities within the stone wool insulation facility. The role ensures a safe, clean and efficient production environment by combining strong people leadership with maintenance know-how and the application of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles, thereby supporting equipment reliability, product quality and continuous improvement. The position also contributes to the development of the departmental budget for cleaning-related activities and is accountable for delivering results within agreed financial targets.

The annual base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $110,000 CAD. Your base salary is determined based on location, experience and the pay of employees in similar positions.

Your future team:

You will become part of the Plant Operations & Production team managing a team of 10-15 people and reporting to the Production Manager.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead, coordinate and develop the industrial cleaning team.
  • Plan and schedule daily, weekly and shutdown cleaning in line with production and maintenance.
  • Supervise cleaning of all key process areas and equipment to required standards.
  • Ensure all cleaning methods comply with ROCKWOOL EHS rules and legal requirements.
  • Use cleaning as inspection (TPM) to detect and report equipment issues early.
  • Develop and maintain cleaning SOPs, checklists and visual standards and train staff on them.
  • Enforce safe work practices (LOTO, confined space, work at height, chemicals) and correct PPE use.
  • Keep accurate records of cleaning work, inspections, CMMS orders and related KPIs.
  • Manage stock of cleaning tools, consumables, filters and PPE efficiently.
  • Support budgeting and cost control for cleaning activities and optimise resource use.

What you bring:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment; experience within stone wool, mineral wool, glass wool or similar process industries will be considered an advantage.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in a supervisory or team lead position within cleaning, maintenance or operations.
  • Practical maintenance experience and solid understanding of mechanical/electromechanical equipment (e.g. conveyors, fans, extraction systems, burners, pumps, drives, filters).
  • Proven knowledge and hands-on application of TPM and/or Autonomous Maintenance principles.
  • Experience working under strict safety procedures (including LOTO, work at height, confined spaces, and hot work).
  • Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to support and drive cost-saving and productivity initiatives without compromising safety, quality or compliance.
  • Ability to act as a ROCKWOOL ambassador, consistently demonstrating our core values of Ambition, Integrity, Responsibility and Efficiency.
  • Technical qualification in maintenance, mechanical/electrical engineering or industrial technology (apprenticeship or vocational diploma).
  • Experience with SAP and a basic understanding of cost control and/or budget follow-up.
