Job Description

Position Title SR. Software Test Engineer

Location Balewadi-Pune

As a Sr Software Test Engineer, you'll lead testing strategies that make a impact—balancing manual and automated approaches while improving Quality. You'll gain hands-on experience with AI-driven testing, cloud-based automation, while mentoring others and shaping quality standards. You'll work with engineers and product leaders, gaining exposure to the latest technologies and automation practices. You will report to the Manager, Software Testing and have a hybrid schedule in Pune, India.

Your Responsibilities:

• Both manual and automated testing. Run and read automated test scripts, own prioritisation of use cases to be scripted, contribute to code reviews, write medium-high complexity test scripts independently and identify opportunities to automate functional tests
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Software Quality Engineers in test plan creation & execution to ensure proper test coverage.
• Serve as a test lead or point person for providing testing estimates and communicating test plan, report metrics and conduct reviews/audits to ensure that all project work and deliverables consistently meet Product Quality standards
• Support and mentor other Software Test Engineers. Become a SME in the product domain
• Map business and technical requirements into test cases and/or test scripts
• Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of quality assurance best practices
• Data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities
• Reporting team/project metrics

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 6+ years direct experience supporting or testing major application product release
• Strong knowledge of quality best practices and methodologies for software testing
• Experience with JMeter, Selenium WebDriver, or other open source/commercial market-leading solutions for functional, regression, or performance test automation
• Collaborate in a team environment with both on-shore and off-shore resources
• Expertise working with one or both of C#/.NET ecosystem or Java/JVM ecosystem
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Understanding of relational database concepts and SQL language

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• Working knowledge of C#/.NET or Java/JVM ecosystem
• Experience with Azure and other Microsoft technologies
• Experience with ERP solutions is good to have; preferably Plex or other manufacturing focused solutions as well.
• Knowledge of ASP (VBScript), ASP.NET (C#) or MVC
• Knowledge of cloud-based automation
• Experience with AI system testing and AI based test automation
