Job Description
As an Engineer (Front-end Developer), you will be part of a team developing an internal front-end UI toolkit of atomic components. Our mission is to serve as a base for other projects in the company. The toolkit implements our (Rockwell Automation) design system. This position is pure front-end work, no back-end part. Current primary technologies are Angular and TypeScript. This position is suitable for candidates who have moved beyond entry‑level work and are developing independence, reliability, and growing technical competence.
Approximately 20% of the role is dedicated to product security activities, where you will act as the Security SME for the team. In this area you will be responsible for security checklist, threat modeling, vulnerability scanning, and communication with internal RA security program.
The team is part of the Rockwell Automation Design System program. This program consists of three teams focusing on different areas. One team creates a design system and provides design help. Another team develops the toolkit itself, which you will be part of. The third team supports the toolkit adopters directly in its codebase.
The current team consists of six people: four developers and two testers. It has an assigned scrum master and product owner.
The team is located in the Rockwell Automation office in Prague, Czech Republic.
You will report to the Engineering Team Lead, Platform Technology & Research, and you will be eligible for a hybrid schedule.
