Summary
Responsible for the functions of the diet office and hospitality services which includes the organization and input of patient/resident menus to ensure accuracy of diet orders, timeliness of meal delivery and facilitates interdepartmental coordination.
Key Responsibilities
The employee must consistently demonstrate the following essential functions:
Acts as a Liaison between Food Services and all other departments with respect to patient meals and diets.
Delivery of meals and nourishments according to established patient identification policies and procedures.
Assist with all activities related to meal services.
Knowledge of fluid restrictions, tube feeding, diet orders and standards for restricted diets.
Ability to transfer medical record information into menu software to ensure diet, allergies and modifiers are processed accurately.
Communicates patient needs and concerns with patients, families, and clinical staff.
Maintain a positive representation of Food and Nutrition Services through professionalism, hygiene and uniform.
Record and maintain unit refrigerator temperature logs according to facility standards.
Answer and log all incoming calls to the nutrition office.
Maintain the highest level of customer service as outlined by department and RRH Standards.
Generate reports, tallies, calorie counts, nourishment labels, tray tickets, etc. and process information within established time frames.
Responsible for accurate delivery and filling of supplies to units as required.
Maintain work areas in a safe and orderly manner.
Responsible for attending and retaining all staff meetings and in-service training.
May be responsible for daily back up of menu software.
Perform other duties as assigned within the department.
Attributes:
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation preferred.

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
