<p>At Robots & Pencils, we build meaningful, scalable digital products by blending strategy, design, and engineering. We are seeking a Level 4 AI/ML Engineer to support a long-term enterprise partnership as part of a multi-year, dedicated product and delivery engagement.</p>
<p>This role is embedded within a complex, large-scale digital transformation focused on modernizing mobile and backend platforms that support field operations, workforce management, compliance, and enterprise visibility. You will work closely with cross-functional partners across product, engineering, design, data, and leadership to deliver AI-enabled capabilities that improve operational insight, decision-making, and system efficiency.</p>
<p>This is a hands-on, delivery-driven role requiring strong technical execution, sound judgment, and comfort operating in an evolving enterprise environment. Success in this role means balancing near-term delivery with long-term platform thinking, while contributing to high-quality, maintainable solutions.</p>

<p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p>
<p>AI & Machine Learning Delivery</p>
<p>· Design, build, and iterate on AI/ML solutions that support enterprise workflows and operational intelligence</p>
<p>· Implement and optimize RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) patterns and prompt engineering strategies</p>
<p>· Work with open-source LLMs and emerging AI tooling to deliver practical, production-ready solutions</p>
<p>· Evaluate and apply AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Copilot) to improve development efficiency and quality</p>
<p>Platform & System Integration</p>
<p>· Collaborate with mobile and backend teams to integrate AI capabilities into iOS, Android, and backend services</p>
<p>· Contribute to AI-enabled initiatives across geolocation, compliance, automation, and workforce-related workflows</p>
<p>· Support backend services built with .NET, Node.js, Python, and TypeScript, integrating with SQL Server and Oracle databases</p>
<p>· Ensure AI solutions align with enterprise security, scalability, and maintainability requirements</p>
<p>Delivery & Collaboration</p>
<p>· Partner closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions</p>
<p>· Operate effectively across multiple workstreams with shifting priorities</p>
<p>· Contribute to iterative delivery with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and outcomes</p>
<p>· Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, building trust through execution</p>

<p><strong>Required Skills & Experience</strong></p>
<p>· Senior-level experience delivering AI/ML solutions in production environments</p>
<p>· Hands-on experience with RAG implementations and prompt engineering</p>
<p>· Experience working with open-source LLMs and modern AI development practices</p>
<p>· Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, or Copilot</p>
<p>· Strong backend engineering experience using Python and/or TypeScript, with exposure to .NET or Node.js</p>
<p>· Experience integrating AI capabilities into complex, enterprise-scale systems</p>
<p>· Comfortable working within modern delivery toolchains (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jira, Confluence)</p>
<p>· Strong understanding of scalable system design and data-driven application development</p>
