As Engineering Manager, Consumer Platforms (Web), you will lead a team of full-stack engineers focused on developing the future of the Roblox web framework across each platform. This team is responsible for the foundational web UI framework, UI components, and the microservices that instrument our application’s business logic. Your vision will drive the frontend architecture of the Roblox website. Your team will interact closely with Roblox use-cases across all of our platform’s form factors. If you enjoy shaping how immersive experiences can utilize all the capabilities of different types of hardware, and working with various types of devices, you will be right at home on our team.
You will:
- Be responsible for the website on multiple platforms (such as consoles, desktop, mobile, or vr)
- Be great at context switching and cross-functional collaboration
- Mentor engineers on your team
- Devise, adapt, and execute on technical strategy for new technologies
You have:
- 4+ years of people management experience leading full-stack teams of 6+ people
- Web and Backend experience
- Experience working across multiple devices
- Desktop or Game Console experience is a plus
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.
Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
