Job Purpose: The Quality Assurance Lead will support the Quality Assurance team with developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability for the organization’s products and/or development processes under the direction of the Quality Assurance supervisor.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understands, follows, and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned.
  • Assist in customer complaints investigation and corrective action process.
  • Interact with other supervisors/managers within RJW to share best practices.
  • Assisting in monitoring current programs in quality assurance as it pertains to distribution and processing as well as uphold the tenants of GMP.
  • Assisting with QMS programs, review integrated pest management system, and documentation compliance in Tracegains system.
  • Be a part of the internal audit team and participates actively in the scheduled food safety and facility GMP audits.
  • Be a part of the food safety team, assists with maintaining the food safety plan and updates SOPs as required.
  • Performs activities to support the quality system, quality policy, quality procedures, work procedures.
  • Assisting with maintaining compliance of all Food Safety and Quality Programs including GMP, Organic and cGMP.
  • Participate in and lead, where appropriate, internal and external audits or visits and prioritize, assign and track the audit findings for completion.
  • Documentation control and creation. This includes updating, reviewing, and assistance in evaluation of current and prop
  • Assisting maintaining compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of CFR for food, OTC, Medical Devices, Cosmetics and Dietary Supplements for warehouse and transportation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Alchemy, Tracegains, Sedex, and other software.
  • Ability to maintain close attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
  • Computer usage and typing skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with multiple departments, customers, and auditors.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Communicates effectively: conveys facts and information clearly both verbally and orally.
  • Collaborates well with others proactively contributes to group objectives; volunteers to help others.
  • Be able to lead and train current and new members.

 

Qualifications Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • 3-5 year of working in quality assurance
  • 3-5 years of working in a GMP facility (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • SQF and HACCP certifications required
