Role Summary

Rivian is seeking to hire a Sr. Remanufacturing Test Engineer for its Remanufacturing operation, to develop, implement and maintain tests for EV batteries as well as other electromechanical products. This is a full-time position, onsite (not remote), at 687 Conestoga Parkway in Shepherdsville Kentucky. 


Responsibilities

  • Adapt/Develop software, Install and maintain it for Reman specific test applications
  • Collaborate/Participate with the broader RIvian software development teams in the conceptual development or improvement of software packages and ensure they can be incorporated into future remanufacturing test programs.
  • Pursue continuous improvement, via making test cycles more accurate and reduced in duration where possible
  • Develop metrics to ensure test results are accurate and certify that the tested products meet specifications.    
  • Collaborate with MES/Data Analytics to ensure tracking of test performance
  • Ensure documentation and training are in place prior to release.
  • Track and resolve quality issues through the the companies fault tracking software
  • Collaborate with CAPEX and Finance to ensure equipment selected meets internal guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant degree
  • 2-4 years of Test Engineering Experience preferably at an Automotive OEM (Lab Development will be considered)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Python, Labview, SQL, Pyqt5 and CICD tools
  • Experience with Augusta Software a plus
  • Experience with NHR or similar Cycler
  • Understanding of EV Battery Theory of Operation
  • Ability to travel about 25%
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for 8-10 hours per day
  • Required to communicate using phone and/or e-mail
  • Ability to view, read, and interpret documents
  • Ability to perform all duties in an office environment that may contain ambient noise and temperature fluctuations 
  • Occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to lift and carry at least 25 pounds
