Job Description

Head of Training Benelux

Shape how our people learn, grow and perform across the Benelux.

As Rituals continues to expand across the world, we’re looking for an experienced Head of Training to lead our local training department in the Benelux. You will set the direction for learning and development and ensure our retail teams have the skills, confidence and knowledge to deliver meaningful customer experiences and strong commercial results.

In this role, you lead the local training team of 5 (4 trainers – 2 based in the Netherlands, 2 in Belux ánd 1 training coordinator based in the Netherlands). Working closely with the Heads of Retail, Area Managers, and the Managing Director Benelux, HR to implement practical, hands-on training programs that work on the shop floor. You’ll drive continuous development, provide mentorship, and make sure training translates into performance.

Your accountabilities:

Working 40 hours per week, you will bring focus, clarity, and ambition to training and learning across the local market.

  • Report directly to the Managing Director Benelux and indirectly to the Head of International Training & Development.
  • Be part of the Local Management Team (MT) and act as mentor and coach to trainers and training coordinator(s).
  • Collaborate with Heads of Retail, Area Managers, HR, and Central Training on programs, commercial cycles, and product launches.
  • Translate global training strategy into local programs that develop skills, knowledge, and customer experience.
  • Analyze training needs using data, mystery shops, and observation to continuously improve programs.
  • Deliver practical, hands-on training and guidance in stores, showing the way and inspiring ambassadors.

Your organization: You balance global and local needs, bringing market insights to international teams while making global training strategy actionable locally. You use data and insights to identify opportunities, implement programs that strengthen skills and performance, and ensure learning translates into results.

Qualifications

What you bring
You are a senior, pragmatic training leader who combines people development with commercial understanding. You are comfortable operating at management level, while staying close to the business. You bring:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • 8+ years of professional training or coaching experience, preferably in retail or cosmetics.
  • Strong business and commercial mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch and/or French is a strong advantage).
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs.
  • Track record in coaching, inspiring, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Willingness to travel within the Benelux and spend time on the shop floor.
