As a Business Analyst you serve as a crucial link between business goals, technical solutions and system performance. You are responsible for collaborating with stakeholders across various departments to analyse end-to-end business processes within your domain; gathering and translating requirements; identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting the development and implementation of technical solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.
Summary of responsibilities
Collaborating with business stakeholders to map out end-to-end data and process flows in BPMN, identifying key pain points, gaps and areas for improvement; translating into functional and technical requirements and recommending practical and sustainable solutions.
Liaise with Tech and Data teams (external software vendors, technical developers, Business Domain architects, Solution architects and other Business Analysts) to design, test and implement future-proof solutions that meet business needs.
Provide clear, detailed documentation and training materials for business end-users, ensuring smooth adoption of new features and processes.
Lead the testing process, ensuring systems and processes work as intended by validating data flows between systems and supporting the business end users in developing comprehensive test scenarios that validate both functionality and data accuracy across systems.
Issue management – support in identifying, documenting and tracking defects, working closely with development teams to resolve issues efficiently and identify areas for improvement based on data-driven insights.
The Business Analyst role sits in the Sourcing, Quality & Regulatory domain reporting into the Head of Tech Products, Pricing & Sourcing.
You are proactive, ever-curious and unafraid to ask questions - digging deeper to unearth the root cause of underlying issues. You have strong attention to detail and are great at communication – able to translate seamlessly between business and technical language. You embrace change and can adapt to the international, fast-paced, dynamic environment at Rituals.
5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst / business consultant in a tech environment.
Strong grasp of business analysis methodologies, tools, and documentation.
Experienced in documenting and analysing business processes, incl. current/future state mapping and gap analysis.
Proficient with visual process tools (Miro/Lucid); BPMN is a plus.
Strong analytical/problem-solving skills; supports data-driven improvements to process/system performance.
Able to work with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders; strong cross-functional collaboration.
Good at managing multiple priorities with strong organisation and attention to detail.
Experience supporting UAT and delivering end-user training.
Location and Working Conditions
While flexible working is available, this role requires a strong on-site presence to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and build meaningful connections. This position is based in Amsterdam at our Central Head Office.
We maintain an on-site presence of 80%, meaning four days in the office and one day remote per week.
