About this role
RIMEX is the leading custom manufacturer of all off road wheel and rim assemblies. RIMEX’s primary markets include mining, forestry, agriculture and industrial equipment, specializing in haul trucks and loaders. RIMEX also offers a full range of complementary products to match their wheel counterparts.
Our continued growth and development has created a need for a Machinist in our Milton branch.
The position is full time - 40 hours per week, with possible shift work. We offer competitive wages as well as a comprehensive benefit package after the completion of the probationary period.
Position requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete set up sheets; documenting new product requirements for approval
- Set up the machines properly and ensure that they are working at full capacity
- Determine and then run the appropriate program for each job; make adjustments as needed to ensure quality product.
- Load and unload the machines with the required products
- Check and measure parts
- Change the inserts when required
- Operate all equipment, including in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- General clean up of working area to help maintain a safe working environment
Education & Experience: Skills and Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ticketed machine operator or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a heavy metal manufacturing environment
- Experience in precision machining with tight tolerances
- Milling experience
- Must be able to use vertical lathe and a vertical boring mill
- Experience using an overhead crane an asset
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
