Position Summary:
Effectively and efficiently coordinates completion of customer repairs thorough RO development from opening to closing, accurate assignment of work to technician and continually updating customer with preferred communication method (phone, text, email, or face-to-face if on premises).
Essential Position Functions/Responsibilities:
Schedules service work for efficient and productive work outcomes
Greets customers in a timely friendly manner
Documents accurate description of customer complaints
References vehicle history, warranty coverage, open campaigns, etc.
Creates and communicates estimates cost and time to repair to customer
Obtains customer PO or documented approval and signatures from customer
Explains repairs to customers on a timely basis
Audits repair orders for completion (customer pay and warranty ROs) and closes RO within 2 days of last touch by a technician
Updates customers on repair status
Issues PO’s to vendors and processes accounts payable invoices
Responds to telephone and in-person inquiries in a professional manner
Handles after hours breakdown calls
Maintains professional appearance
Keeps work area clean
Other duties to meet business requirements
QualificationsEducation/Essential Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Practical knowledge and abilities to use computer and computer applications
Key Attributes/Skills/Characteristics:
Honest, dependable, organized & resourceful
Must be self-motivated and professional
Must have the desire to provide strong customer service
Must be thorough and detail oriented
Independent thinking
Preferred Qualifications:
Service writing/advising experience
Customer service experience
Background and experience working in a truck repair facility, and/or understanding of trucks and trailers
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A/B) or the ability to acquire, including passing a DOT health certification test.
Trade School diploma/certifications in automotive or truck maintenance and repair
