Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manager Construction Accounting to support the financial operations of union-affiliated construction projects in New York. This role focuses on project cost tracking, financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations, including MWBE (Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprises) and SDVOB (Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business) participation requirements.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting public and private projects, ensuring cost accuracy, and maintaining documentation in accordance with New York City and State compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track and monitor project budgets, job costs, and contract compliance
- Maintain accurate job cost records and support monthly Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting
- Review subcontractor invoices and monitor documentation for union, MWBE, and SDVOB compliance
- Collaborate with project managers to reconcile job cost variances and assist in budget forecasting
- Review AIA G702/G703 payment applications for accuracy and compliance with contract terms
- Ensure subcontractor billing aligns with approved scopes and funding requirements
- Maintain audit-ready records and assist with financial and regulatory audits
- Monitor and report on MWBE/SDVOB utilization to ensure adherence to project participation goals
- Liaise with compliance officers, procurement teams, and subcontractors to track certification and reporting requirements
- Assist in preparation of financial statements and job cost reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure financial practices comply with GAAP and applicable local and state regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field AND two (2) years’ experience in a Supervisory position
- OR Four (4) years’ experience in a Management position
- OR Two (2) years’ experience in a Supervisory position within Resorts World
- Six (6) years’ related construction accounting work experience
- Proven experience with MWBE and SDVOB compliance monitoring and reporting
- Strong knowledge of job costing and construction financial processes
- Familiarity with New York public agency contract requirements (e.g., SCA, DDC, NYCHA, DASNY)
- Proficiency with ProCore construction accounting software
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- CPA or progress toward certification is a plus but not required
- Must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school or equivalent diploma and have the ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the New York State Lottery regulations

$69,800.00 - $104,700.00
