The Product Manager - Devices contributes to the strategy, development, and lifecycle of one of ResMed’s core device platforms. Working as part of a cross-functional product team, this role supports platform discovery, development, launch, and continuous improvement activities.

The Product Manager partners closely with engineering, design, clinical, regulatory, operations, and commercial teams to translate user insights, market needs, and business objectives into actionable product decisions. This role helps deliver products that deliver meaningful value for patients, providers, and ResMed’s global ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

User & Market Insight

  • Develop a strong understanding of the needs, behaviours, and motivations of patients, providers, and channel partners.

  • Conduct and synthesise user research, market intelligence, and competitive analysis to inform product opportunities.

  • Advocate for user-centricity by embedding insights into decision-making, ensuring product choices balance desirability, feasibility, and viability.

Product Strategy & Definition

  • Contribute to the platform vision and roadmap through research, analysis, and structured problem-solving.

  • Translate business and user insights into clear product requirements, features, and user stories.

  • Evaluate trade-offs between user needs, technical constraints, business goals, and regulatory requirements.

Execution & Delivery

  • Work closely with engineering, design, and cross-functional partners during discovery and delivery phases.

  • Manage and prioritise backlog items in alignment with platform objectives and sprint planning.

  • Support testing, validation, and launch readiness activities for new features and product releases.

  • Monitor product performance, user feedback, and operational metrics to guide iterations and improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships across engineering, clinical, regulatory, quality, operations, supply chain, marketing, and regional teams.

  • Facilitate alignment on requirements, timelines, and trade-offs, ensuring shared understanding of goals and constraints.

  • Communicate clearly and proactively to keep partners informed and engaged.

Influence & Leadership

  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive product culture anchored in curiosity, accountability, and continuous learning.

  • Help drive clarity in ambiguous problem spaces and support decision-making through structured analysis.

  • Influence peers and stakeholders with clear rationales, data, and storytelling.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Preferred / Desired

  • 3+ years’ experience in product management, engineering, operations, UX, or similar technical/commercial roles.

  • Experience delivering technology products in regulated or complex environments (medical devices, healthcare, or hardware + software ecosystems desirable).

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capability with the ability to break down complex problems.

  • Demonstrated success collaborating with engineering and cross-functional partners.

  • Familiarity with agile product development and documentation of user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.

  • Ability to articulate user needs and product value clearly across technical and non-technical audiences.

Leadership Attributes

  • Curious, user-obsessed, and committed to understanding real-world problems.

  • Collaborative and inclusive, contributing to cross-team alignment and shared ownership.

  • Structured thinker who brings clarity to ambiguous problems.

  • Bias for action, balanced by a thoughtful, data-informed approach.

  • Growth mindset and eagerness to develop deeper competency across all four PM pillars.
